With 450 years of Harrow’s legacy as our foundation, we empower our people to make a difference—whether by nurturing future leaders or driving the engine behind our world-class education.

AISL Harrow Haikou is a dynamic and fast-growing international school located in the vibrant capital of tropical Hainan Island. In just the past year, we have achieved full accreditation from the Council of British International Schools (COBIS), become a founding member of the NESSIC bilingual schools network, and proudly hosted the AISL Harrow Games, bringing together students from AISL Harrow schools across Asia.

We are now seeking passionate, talented educators to join our world-class team and help shape the next chapter of our journey. Our mission is to develop excellence for life and leadership. Our staff are at the heart of this delivering outstanding teaching, nurturing scholarly ambition, and contributing to a rich evening enrichment programme as part of our boarding provision. With exceptional facilities, a forward-thinking vision, and a commitment to holistic education, we offer a professional environment where teachers can innovate, collaborate, and grow.

Whether supporting our high-achieving scholars or leading co-curricular initiatives, our staff are united by a shared sense of purpose and a belief in the potential of every child. If you are driven, reflective, and inspired by challenge and opportunity, we invite you to help shape a bright future with us.

Our Community

Harrow Haikou fosters a uniquely supportive and vibrant community that beautifully balances professional rigor with a fulfilling personal life. The collaborative spirit among faculty and staff creates a warm, family-like atmosphere, where everyone is encouraged to excel and support one another. Beyond the classroom, the school’s stunning tropical campus and array of social and wellness activities promote a healthy work-life balance, making it not just a place of work, but a true home away from home.

Hear From Our People

Moving schools within the group was a fantastic opportunity to further develop my career.

I was supported extremely well throughout the whole process. It is definitely something I would recommend to other colleagues looking for opportunities within the AISL family of Harrow schools.

Ste Foster

International Principal of Early Years

Harrow has a reputation for academic excellence, but what really stood out to me was the school’s commitment to character education and creative thinking. It’s a place that doesn’t just value results, but also the journey. As an educator who is passionate about process and reflection, that really resonated with me. Working at school has been brilliant! The students are thoughtful and enthusiastic, and the staff and wider community have been incredibly welcoming. There’s a real sense of purpose here, and it’s inspiring to be part of that.

Upper School Head of Art

Harrow’s tradition of academic excellence and emphasis on holistic education align closely with my own philosophy. Having worked within the Harrow family for several years, I value how its principles of leadership, service, and fellowship are lived through daily school life, creating an environment where students and teachers alike continue to grow. The sense of community and purpose at Harrow Haikou is outstanding. Colleagues are supportive, students are inquisitive, and there is a shared belief in education that extends beyond grades. I am especially excited about how the Harrow Diploma is helping to celebrate each student’s personal development and contribution.
